Masters Completed and Baby's Due date is set.

On Wednesday, July 21 I completed my Masters of Education from Mount Saint Vincent University. After 2 years of reading, writing, and thinking it is finished. Yippee!! I enjoyed the program and will miss my cohort. In the fall my wife will begin the same program.

The baby's due date is set for August 12 at 8:00am. We were worried that it would be the 6th (a day before our first anniversary) or the 13th (Friday the 13th) but alas it is set for Thursday, August 12. I will post pictures after the big event.

Week 2 Completed - MSVU

Week #2 is completed. There are only 3 more days left to the summer institute and I will also finish my Masters of Education at that time. We have been spending our time examining the topic of boys in literacy. It has been an interesting discussion and we have taken the time to examine deeply this issues surrounding boys education with regards to literacy development. I feel it has given all participants something to think about.

We are getting close to finding out the date of the baby's birth. We find out on Tuesday. A funny thing happened on Friday evening. We went to the hospital to visit friends who had just had a set of twin and when the nurses saw my wife coming down the hall they thought that she was in labour and wanted to know if we needed help. When we told them that we were just visiting they relaxed. It was funny.

Our house is still going through renovations. We had hoped to be finished by now but there are still things to fix. A long story, I may tell it later. The weather is quite warm here. We are spending our time in the basement where it is cool.

Week 1 Completed - MSVU

I am currently working to complete my Masters of Education in Literacy through Mount Saint Vincent University. It has been a 2 year process and we are getting to the end of it. There are 8 more days of classes left. We are finished on July 21.

New Ward at the Hospital

We had our second pre-natal class this evening and we got to tour the new ward where we will spend the first few days with our new baby. The new place is pretty cool and I know we will do fine when this baby arrives. That will happen in about a month from now. Can't wait.
